Cymbopogon flexuosus is one of many species of a plant commonly known as Lemongrass. This specific species has common names that include Cochin grass, East-Indian lemongrass or Malabar grass. It is native to parts of Asia and has been used as wind breaks in agricultural design for many years. The plant grows in hot climates and in well drained soils. It has round, bulbous-like roots where the strongest aromatic properties are found.
